12.30 Lunch
All those impressions will make you hungry, so it’s time for a delicious lunch. If you prefer to stay in the city center, Brasserie Rubenshof and Lunch en zo come highly recommended. The first one is set in a historic building, while the latter offers a view of the largest shopping street. For a bit of tranquility, you can take a 15-minute walk from the center to Warande Parkrestaurant. Nestled in greenery, it provides a lovely view of the animal enclosure from the terrace.
14.00 Hit the Trails
Time to get moving! With a full belly, you can start exploring the city on foot or by bike. There are various routes through the city center, such as the art route and the mural route. If you have a bike available, you can ride a portion of the Helmond loop, which also takes you through the city's beautiful natural areas. Think walking is boring for kids? Not at all! There are even special routes designed for children, complete with activity books and fun facts.
16.00 stroll and discover
If you have kids with you, a visit to a playground is a must! In Burgemeester Geukerspark in the city center, you'll find the Verhalenspeeltuin, where little ones can play while improving their language skills. And secretly, it’s quite fun for adults too. It’s definitely worth wandering through the city center, as there are many more hotspots to discover, such as the famous cube houses and the Sint-Lambertuskerk with its impressive Robustelly organ from 1773.
18.30 Dinner time
End your day with a nice dinner. Whether you're in the mood for a Michelin-starred meal or sushi, the options are plentiful. Good food is in the DNA of our city! At De Rozario, you can spend the whole evening savoring dishes you'll never forget. At Belcapo, you can indulge in authentic Neapolitan pizzas, the cheese library at Bij Vrienden Gastrobar is an experience in itself, and at d’n Deftige Aap, they serve the best beer.
