Kasteeltuin Concerts
Every Friday in July and August, the castle garden is transformed into one big dance floor. It’s the largest and oldest music event in Helmond. Every week, different bands play on two stages set up on either side of the castle. One week you’ll be dancing to salsa music, and the next, you’ll be singing along to Dutch hits. It’s always a party, that’s for sure. The best part? The concerts are free, so everyone can enjoy a night out. Dance together until the sun sets.

Spring and Summer Funfair
Helmond doesn’t just have one but two large funfairs. In both spring and summer, you can visit the fair in the city center. The spring fair, in particular, is famous throughout the region. The city center is filled with many attractions, turning it into a massive amusement park. You can go for fast, thrilling rides, upside-down loops, or just play a camel racing game. And, of course, there are fun rides for kids, like the carousel and duck fishing.

Ibiza Festival
With the Ibiza Festival, we're bringing summer to Helmond no matter what, even if the sun doesn't show up. Hippie vibes, food trucks, a bohemian market, and various workshops will make you feel like you're on vacation for two days – but in the Burgemeester Geukerspark. Chilling and relaxing are pretty much the only things you need to do. With a snack and a drink within reach, of course. Peace out!

UrbanMatterz
Helmond has a raw edge, and that fits perfectly with the vibe of UrbanMatterz. Hip hop music, graffiti, skate ramps, breakdancing, and much more urban culture take center stage during the annual festival. The highlight is the UrbanMatterz Old School Hip Hop Concert, with a line-up that makes fans' mouths water.

Castle of Sinterklaas
It has become a yearly tradition. Every year, Sinterklaas and his Pieten take up residence in the castle where they will stay during their time in the Netherlands. Since Sinterklaas enjoys visitors, the castle can be toured. You'll get a tour through the different rooms and see, among other things, where the presents are wrapped. Beaming children's faces guaranteed! Through the event’s website, you can participate in lotteries, as the Castle of Sinterklaas is very popular!

The Dragon Boat Festival
Imagine: a canal, impressive Chinese dragon boats, music, food, drinks, and many visitors. Mix it all together, and voilà, you have the legendary Dragon Boat Festival. For an entire weekend, Helmond’s canal becomes the battleground for brightly colored dragon boats with festively dressed paddlers who race to be the first to cross the finish line. Near the Burgemeester Geukerspark, you can cheer on the participants. It’s also sporty, right?
