Do you know the light festival GLOW? Well, this year, it’s coming to Helmond too!
Every year in November, GLOW Eindhoven organizes the international light art festival. Think of it as an open-air exhibition showcasing works by renowned artists from around the world. By now, GLOW ranks in the top five most-visited light festivals globally! So, we're very proud that a piece of GLOW is coming to Helmond this year.
From November 10 to 16, several locations in Helmond will be illuminated. Naturally, it takes place in the evening—it is a light festival, after all. Lights turn on from 6:30 PM, so even the little ones don’t have to miss it.
Locations/Route
-
Speelhuisplein
Large universe globes representing the Moon, Earth, Mars, and Saturn will be displayed at Speelhuisplein. -
Pleinzaal Het Speelhuis

Over 1,100 primary school students from Helmond created fantasy planets that you can admire in the Pleinzaal at Het Speelhuis. Super impressive! Children's drawings are also displayed in the foyer. With this project, Hugo Vrijdag aims to make children aware of their role on Earth in an accessible way. -

The Flow: A dynamic stream of video-mapping animations by Ruben van Esterik, bringing the building to life. -
Tower of the former church behind Het Speelhuis
Illustrations by the national cartoonist Jan Vriends from his book De Kosmonaut will be projected on the tower. -
